IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Yolanda V
Lara
July 9, 1947 – October 31, 2022
Her Life Journey
Yolanda Vasquez de Lara , a faithful wife, a loving mother and grandmother and a caring sister and friend will be much remembered with love .
She was born to Maria de Jesus Tellez and Luis Vasquez on July 9th, 1947, in Mexico City, Mexico.
Yolanda possessed a strong spirit of determination and vision in life which enabled her to overcome difficult hardships in life, even since early childhood.
She met her beloved husband Abel while working for his sister in Salamanca Guanajuato, Mexico in 1964. They were married for 45 years and together, they had five children: Abel, Patricia, Adriana, Gabriela, and Laura.
Amidst life trials and with much sacrifice and effort, Yolanda, fully determined, and together with her husband Abel managed to acquire a better and more prominent future for their children when they journeyed away from their beloved native country and settle in a country not their own, yet, with greater life opportunities.
Yolanda was a woman of deep innate faith in God and thus strive to instill this precious gift of faith onto her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed and took great delight in being surrounded by her family, particularly, her grandchildren and great grandchildren! She was an excellent cook...
Her battle with medical issues throughout her life especially in this current year showed her great courage and solid faith in facing life challenges with exemplary optimism and a profound trust in HIM whom she knew loved her.
Yolanda departed into the Presence of God on Monday 31st of October 2022 surrounded and embraced by all of her loved ones. She received the blessing of the Anointing of the Sick, something deeply dear to her heart and faith.
A Eucharistic Celebration will be offered to give Thanks to God for the Life of Yolanda and to celebrate her entrance into eternal life in heaven!
Mass will take place on November 7th, 2022, at St. Augustine Cathedral at 10:00AM, followed by our last farewell at the Catholic Holy Hope Cemetery. Viewing will take place on November 6 from 5:00pm- 9:00pm with a Rosary at 7pm at Carrillo's Funeral Home.
Her children and family will love long to remember her always. With God's help we will continue her legacy of faith, good virtues, and family values that she so much strive to instill in our hearts...
