Yolanda P Coronado's Obituary

Our beautiful mother, Yolanda P. Coronado passed peacefully on Friday, September 4th at the age of 94. Born on August 3, 1926 in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico to Felipe de Jesus Pedroza and Manuela Niebla Pedroza. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Felipe Pedroza Jr. and son Felipe P. Arechiga.

In the 68 years that she called Tucson, Arizona her home, our mother worked for TUSD, TMC and El Rio Health Center as an LPN before retiring in 1994 after 20 years of service.

Mom was a fan of the U of A and the Arizona Diamondbacks. However, her favorite team was the "Tucson Yankee's" of the MSBL. She would sometimes sit in the dugout and cheer the loudest, also never hesitated to let you know what you
needed to improve. The players became her extended family whom she dearly loved.

Yolanda loved and was loved her 9 children, Alex (Kim), Joe (Christine), Edward, Mary (Jim), George (Lori), Bobby (Marianne), Silvino, Silvia and Felipe. Known as Grandma Yoli, Nani and Nana, she loved and was loved by her grandchildren Chris (Nicole), Jovan, Paul (Mallorie), Cathy (Dave), Anita (Paul), Eric (Siobhan), Arianna, Adonis, Antonio and great-grandchildren, Olivia, Emma, Evan, Elliott and her newest grandson Alexander Eoghan born on 08/29/20. Our mother's love extended out to her family in other parts of the U.S. and Mexico.

Our family would like to extend our most sincere gratitude to the Highland Hills Adult Care, where our mother lived after suffering a stroke in 2016. Their home allowed our mother to live her final years socializing with other ladies like herself
and enjoying the company of the home's six miniature poodles and visiting babies. We want to especially thank Briana at Highland Hills and the Casa de la Luz nurses for the hospice care you all provided our mother these past 3 weeks.

Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, services are reserved for the immediate family members. We are humbled and grateful for all the love and support you have shown our family.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you take time today to reach out to your family and tell them that you love them. Please don't forget the churches that have been impacted financially by Covid-19. Give if you are able.
