Vincent E. Garcia, 59 a member of the Tohono O'odham Nation (TON) Pisinmo'o district. Passed away at his residence in the community of Little Tucson, Arizona Baboquivari district with his wife and children at his side. Preceded in death by his grandmother, Josephine Garcia; brother, Brian D. Garcia and sons, Anthony (Tony) Garcia and Shayne Thomas.  Son of Pauline Campillo. Survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Melvina C. Garcia and his 5 children, Lisa Garcia, Raymond Garcia, Leo Thomas, Jason Thomas and Heather Lopez (Robert Lopez); Brother, Godfather, uncle, Grandfather (papa), to many.

Vincent, retired from the Tohono O'odham Police Department December 2016 as Chief of Police, he began his career with the department in September of 1989 as a police officer and continued to advance his career; as a Sergeant (1996) Lieutenant (2011) Interim Chief of Police (2013) Detailed to Bureau Chief (2014) Chief of Police (2014). Vincent was accomplished and dedicated to Law Enforcement.  Mr. Garcia received an Honorable discharge from the United States Army where he served seven (7) years.

Vincent was loved by so many he loved to talk, laugh, and tell stories. He never left a room without saying everything he wanted to say to you. And if you were speaking with him, you felt you were at that moment the most important person in the world to him. He loved life and made the world a better place by sharing his wisdom and positive outlook and determination. He never gave up and never missed an opportunity to encourage others to work hard and save your money, and be the most you can be.
