Tamara Lozano
Rae
December 17, 1972 – May 18, 2024
Loving daughter passed away on May 18, 2024. Born December 17, 1972 in Tucson, Arizona. Tamara attended Palo Verde High School. She played softball for Pima Community Jr. College and was employed by Operating Engineers' Local 428, University Medical Center, and Pima Medical Institute. She was a member of the Office and Professional Employees International Local 319.
Survived by brothers, James (Saundra) Rae, Richard (Mandy) Rae; sister, Rachel L. Yniguez; over twenty nieces and nephews; nine great-nieces and nephews; biological father, Lorenzo Douglas; uncle, Joseph and aunt, Ora. She is preceded in death by her father, James R. Rae; brother, Nathaniel L. Rae; grandparents, Francisco and Carlotta Lozano, Daniel and Olga Rae, Joseph, and Lucy Douglas; uncles, Hector, and Daniel Lozano. Also survived by a large host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Tamara had a big and generous heart, and a beautiful smile. She gave back more in life than she received and valiantly suffered silently since 2001 with breast cancer, 2015 brain cancer, 2024 back cancer and other medical issues. She never complained, she was determined to be walking and driving again.
It was my privilege and honor to have cared for my daughter for the last years of her life. Special thanks to Isabel, Nathaniel, Melissa and all who lent a helping hand while she was home with us. Come greet me when it's my time. I will never forget you. I will miss you immensely every day. Your loving mother, Rosalinda Lozano Rae.
