Mrs. Socorro Navarro Guillen , born on February 12, 1929 in Tucson, Arizona, to the late Rosa B. Navarro and the late Aurelio L. Navarro, passed away at age 89 on September 25, 2018.

Socorro was the loving wife of the late Joaquin Guillen, married on February 27, 1954. She was preceded in death by her son, Bernardino Guillen; and brothers, Aurelio B. Navarro, Alfredo B. Navarro, Arnoldo B. Navarro; and son-in-law, Rudy Quihuis.

Socorro is survived by her children, Sylvia Quihuis, Yolanda (Al) Corona, David (Sylvia) Guillen and Cynthia (Richard) Alegria; daughter-in-law, Lorraine Nunez; brother, Armando B. Navarro; sisters, Gloria Nolan, Ernestine Perez, and Evangelina Hill; grandchildren, Rudy Jr. Quihuis, Steven Quihuis, Brandon Quihuis, Trinity Quihuis, Al Jr. Corona, David Jr. Guillen, Victoria Guillen, Veronica Guillen, Nick Guillen, Bernardino Jr. Guillen, Erik Guillen, Joseph Guillen, Jacqueline S. Guillen, Danielle Alegria, and Richard Alegria III; and 10 beautiful great-grandchildren.

Everyone knew Socorro as a kind, gentle, and loving woman. She loved gardening, cooking and building puzzles with her children and grandchildren. She loved and cherished all her family and friends. Socorro didn't need much but a room full of smiles and laughter, a yard filled with roses and irises, and an hour a day watching her favorite TV Show 'The Young & The Restless' brought her peace. We love you Mom; Sister; Nana; Great-Grandma. You will be dearly missed. We will take you with us, where we go today and everyday.
