Socorro (Cora) Diaz Garcia, 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 18, 2025. She is preceded in death by her parents, Francisco R. and Rita M. Diaz; three sisters, Eleanor, Adelina, and Carmen; brothers, Francisco, Martin and Ramon. She is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Frank; daughters Rose Marie (Rick) Enriquez, Christina and son Edward (Carla); grandchildren Martin, Anna Marie and Thomas.

A Tucson native and descendant of the El Fuerte (Fort Lowell) families, Socorro graduated from Tucson High School in 1953, attended Pima College and retired as an administrative assistant in risk management at Tucson Unified School District. She often volunteered with her parish. She had many lifetime friends, classmates, and looked forward to planning their reunion lunches. We love you mom.
