IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Silvia Lucia
Ortiz-Enriquez
April 25, 1954 – March 29, 2023
Silvia Lucia Ortiz-Enríquez, 68, passed away and entered the Kingdom of Heaven on March 29, 2023 in the company of family surrounded by love and prayers. She is the third eldest daughter of Jesus Ortiz (deceased) and Ruth Ortiz (deceased) and is preceded in death by youngest brother, Gerardo Ortiz. She is survived by husband, Frank Enríquez, along with son, Justin Javier Enríquez (Paula Marie), and daughter, Jeraldine Joelle Quijada (José "Joey" Mario).
Silvia was a dedicated "Nana" and leaves behind three beautiful granddaughters, Jazlyn Marie Quijada, Aria Sophia Enríquez, and Jahzel Mireya Quijada, as well as two precious grandsons, Josué Martín Quijada and Aramis Santino Enríquez. She absolutely adored each and every one of her grandchildren and fought many illnesses for so long to be a part of each's life.
Her siblings: Mary "Toni" Larson, Janie Ortiz López, Norma Ortega, Mary J. Ortiz, Luz "Monica" Valenzuela, Peter Ortiz, Ray Ortiz, and Ivo Ortiz. Silvia was a proud and dedicated Tia to all of her nieces and nephews and always was present for each of their milestones in life no matter the distance.
Silvia attended St. Augustine Cathedral School, was a graduate of Tucson High School (Class of 1972), received her undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of Arizona, and received a masters degree from the University of Phoenix. Silvia was an active parishioner at St. Augustine Cathedral throughout her life, was a dedicated member of the League of Mexican American Women for over 30 years and before going on disability, was employed by El Río Health Center.
Although our hearts are broken we know she is at peace in the presence of the Lord and all who passed before her. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends but will never leave our hearts and will live on through all her loved ones.
Her funeral services will be held on Monday April 10, 2023 with the viewing starting at 8:00 AM in the large chapel at Carrillo's Tucson Mortuary (204 S. Stone Ave). Her Rosary will be held next-door at St. Augustine Cathedral (192 S. Stone Ave.) beginning at 9:30 AM followed immediately by the celebration of the Holy Mass at 10:00 AM.
