Shirley Ann Quintero was born on January 24th, 1950 in Tucson, Az. She was the youngest daughter of 8 siblings. Her eyes were the color of the sky on a clear day with hair glowed in the sun and she had a contagious smile. She loved to joke, laugh, play, and sing spreading joy to those around her. She was the Sunshine of the Whalen family.
She spent her entire life serving others. She was willing to give all to help anyone in need. Shirley Ann worked for and retired from the Sahuarita Unified School District. The countless hours she spent coaching cheerleading, playing soccer mom, and being the biggest fan from the bleachers. She never missed a single game or event. She believed in God. She believed in heaven and believed hummingbirds were messengers from loved ones watching over us.
After 73 years, Shirley Ann Quintero's last earthly breath was taken on Feb 5 of 2023. Shirley Ann was the mother of four children: Nohemi, Lawrence (Karin), Denise, and Jimmy (Ashley); Grandmother to Thomas, Andrew, and Lawrence Jr; Angel and Yvonne; Jimmy Jr, Ayden Jaymes, and Owen; and great-grandchildren: Catalina and Analiah.
Shirley's ashes will be placed in Arivaca, Az rejoicing her parents, Albert and Socorro, at a later date. Shirley's favorite flower was the lily, a registry has been set up at "Flower Shop on Fourth Ave" (520) 622-7673
Any donations will go toward her celebration of life.
