IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Scott E.
Heath
January 7, 1966 – September 13, 2025
It is with great sadness that the family of Scott Edwin Heath announces his passing on the morning of September 13th. He was a young 59 years old. He is survived by his parents, Penny and Ronald Heath, his sister, Nancy, his wife, Alba, and his two daughters, Kira and Kayla. He was born in Monterey Park, California in 1966. Scott was always full of energy from a very early age. Growing up he loved sports; Baseball, football and especially soccer. He played baseball and soccer when he was younger. His father, Ronald, was the umpire for his baseball team. Scott often used to get mad at Ronald for not favoring his team. He played baseball until he was 10 when he transitioned to soccer. He played until he was in junior high. Scott loved hardcore metal music and in his senior year of high school he joined a band called the Invisible Enemy. He was the singer of the band and had long blond hair and wore tight black pants. He was a wild child in high school. He would come home late at night, and you could hear his music blasting from a mile or two away. As he got older, he became a family man. He met his wife Alba, in 1993. They were coworkers and everyone at work told him to not even try to go after Alba. They told him she was too good for him and that he had no chance. Scott was determined anyway. Alba and Scott ended up on their first date at a casino with his Aunt Bonnie. After the casino, Scott and Alba were heading to a dinner and movie when Scott's car broke down. Scott thought for sure Alba would never speak to him again but 2 years later he was down on one knee and a year later wedding bells were ringing. His eldest daughter, Kayla, found an interest in soccer around middle school. That was the beginning of his involvement in the Tucson soccer scene. He started managing Kayla's team when she was 13 and later went on to coach his youngest daughter, Kira's, team. He had varying roles around the FC Sonora club until 2022 when he moved to RSL Southern Arizona. He helped Kayla coach her younger girls and managed the team on top of scheduling for clubs all over Tucson and he was the Vice President of the Pima County Junior Soccer League. For the last few years of his life, he worked hard for his family, he scheduled tournaments, he helped Kayla coach the soccer team she had and scouted younger players for his college coach friend, Josh. Scott got a total of 32 of the 50 girls that played for him into college soccer. He would make highlight videos of their playing time for them and proofread the emails they would send to their coaches for them. Soccer was Scott's life. The only thing he loved more than soccer was his family. Every Saturday, he would take his wife and kids to dinner with his parents. In May 2025, Scott went to the doctor for some pain in his back when he was diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer and heart failure. While ready to fight, there was nothing further that could be done. I am so proud of the man that my dad was, he fought hard for what was right no matter what. Let our grief enable us to do kind acts in his memory. We will all miss him so very much.
