Obituary

In Loving Memory of Savannah Nicole (Lyrik) Mendivil  2005–2026

It is with profound sadness and endless love, we announce the passing of Lyrik Mendivil, who left this world on August 28 2026, in Tucson, Arizona, at the age of 21.

Though her life was far too short, Lyrik's impact was immeasurable. Known to many as an inspiring online influencer, she courageously shared her journey with more than 500,000 followers, offering hope, encouragement, and understanding to countless individuals with their own life challenges. Through her authenticity and strength, she reminded others that they were never alone.

Lyrik possessed a beautiful creative spirit. Poetry was her refuge and her gift, allowing her to transform pain into words that touched the hearts of many. Some of her happiest moments were spent celebrating her favorite seasons, Halloween and Christmas, delighting in decorating and creating special memories with those she loved.

At just two years old, Lyrik was diagnosed with Stage IV Diffuse Anaplastic Wilms Tumor, a rare and aggressive form of kidney cancer. The treatments that saved her life also left her facing lifelong health challenges, including the need for a heart and double-lung transplant. Although that transplant never came, Lyrik met every obstacle with extraordinary courage, resilience, and a fierce determination that inspired everyone who knew her. Her strength was matched only by her compassion, grace, and unwavering spirit.

More than her illness, Lyrik will be remembered for how she lived. She chose hope over despair, kindness over bitterness, and love over fear. She leaves behind a legacy of perseverance, faith, creativity, and courage that will continue to shine through the lives she touched.

Lyrik is lovingly survived by her parents, Autumn Mendivil and Roy Layne; her sisters, Auburn and Hailey Avery, Destiny Diaz; her grandparents, Armando and Letty Mendivil, Debbie Bahrychuk and Carol Layne; and many beloved relatives, friends, and supporters whose lives she touched deeply.

In accordance with Lyrik's wishes, no funeral services will be held. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Carrillo's Mortuary.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to everyone who supported Lyrik throughout her journey, especially the dedicated teams at Banner University Medical Center, Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford, and Jacobs Medical Center, whose care, compassion, and commitment meant so much to Lyrik and her loved ones.

Though her time on earth was far too brief, Lyrik's light, love, and courage will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew her.
