Santiago Alberto Altamirano
Known by his family and friends as "Jimmy"
Was born in Tucson, AZ
to Jose M. Altamirano & Maria del Carmen Altamirano.
Santiago entered the United States Marine Corps at the age of 18. He was honored to be a Marine. Santiago was a Vietnam Veteran. Upon retiring from the Marines he pursued a career in radiology and became a xray technician after graduating from college.
Sanitago had a passion for restoring vehicles and he became an expert mechanic. He helped anyone out that had problems with their vehicle. He had the ability to fix and repair anything. He had knowledge in plumbing, carpentry, and he was a wonderful gardener. In gardening he could make anything grow.
He loved sharing fruits with his grandchildren, great grandson, nieces and nephews.
Sanitago was athletic, he enjoyed playing baseball and softball. He enjoyed watching football "GO COWBOYS" , baseball, basketball, with his son & grandsons. He was a loving, caring and forgiving man. He had a good sense of humor and at times a funny story teller. Forever in our hearts he will remain.
He is survived by his Children, Santiago A. Altamirano Jr, Denise Altamirano Inclan (Gerardo),
Sergio A. Altamirano. Grandchildren, Andrea Maria Altamirano, Orlando O. Zepeda ( Claritza), Destina R. Cady, Esai Santiago Perez. Great Grandchildren, Lillyana Q. Sarabia, Estevan X. Cruz II, Leonel D.Zepeda, Oziel Santos Zepeda. Siblings, Sister Delia Altamirano Patronski (John), Sister Leticia Bedoy (Jesus), Brother Miguel Angel Altamirano (Gloria), Sister Alma Altamirano Robles (Ruben), Sister Rosalva Altamirano Bullock, Sister Nadia Altamirano, Sister Carmen A. Gibbs (WIlliam), Brother Leoncio Altamirano, Brother Gerardo Altamirano (Patricia), Brother Jorge Altamirano.
He is preceded in death by his parents Jose M. Altamirano & Maria del Carmen Altamirano, Sister Santos Mendoza, Brother Jose Antonio Altamirano, Sister Maria Elena Calderon, Nephews, Brian Calderon, Miguel Angel Altamirano III, Jonathan Altamirano, John A Patronski Jr. Our family angels.
