Ruth Rivera Norzagaray, 91 years old, was born in Tucson, AZ on July 12, 1930 and passed away on June 22, 2022.

Ruth was the third eldest of seven sisters. Before getting married and starting her family, Ruth worked at St. Mary's Hospital as a nurse. She was a loving mother, raising six children.  A grandmother to twelve grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. Ruth has always had an amazing way in showing love and receiving it by all she's come in contact with. Her warmth and light will forever burn bright in the hearts of all who knew her.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents:  Francisco Manuel Rivera, Angelita Fimbres, her four sisters; Mary-Carmen Rivera, Gloria Villalobos, Angelita Sierra, Lydia Quihuis, her granddaughter Jennifer Marie Aguilar and Ex-Husband Ruben A. Norzagaray. She leaves behind her two remaining sisters: Irene Blancarte, Connie Perusquia. Her children: (son) Ruben A. Norzagaray Jr., (son) Mario A. Norzagaray, (son) Ralph A. Norzagaray, his children, Steven Cadena, Ashley Norzagaray (daughter) Margaret A. Aguilar, her husband, Mario Aguilar, and their children, Joshua Aguilar and Jasmine Aguilar, (daughter) Martha A. Godoy, her husband Charlie Godoy and their children, Carlos Godoy, Valerie Godoy, Peter Godoy, (daughter) Angela M. Norzagaray, her fiancé, Jerry Sanchez, and their children, Nicole Sanchez, Vanessa Norzagaray, Selena Sanchez, Emma Sanchez and many great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ruth has left her loving radiance and legacy in this world. She will forever be missed and remembered. We will keep her in our hearts and thoughts always.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 29, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Carrillo's Tucson Mortuary (South Chapel) 240 S. Stone Ave., with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m.  Mass will be offered Thursday, June 30, 2022, 10:00 a.m. at St. Augustine's Cathedral, 192 S. Stone Ave. There will be one final drive through Ruth's childhood home, Convent and Meyer (Barrio Viejo) and burial to follow at South Lawn Cemetery.
