Obituary

Ruben G. Federico 72, of Tucson, AZ was born on June 27, 1949. He began his journey into God's Kingdom on January 23, 2022. Ruben is survived by his spouse Cecilia R Federico, his children Adrian R. Federico (Kristy), Erica M. Federico, Caleb I. Lewis, Christal C. Paz, Raul F. Paz (Melanie) and Miguel A. Paz. He is also survived by his sister, Sandra Federico Rabago, brother Raymond Federico, grandchildren Emma A. Federico, Amaya N. Federico, Julius I. Nelson, Jazmine L. Nelson, and Moises X. Paz and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Filiberto R. and Hortensia Federico, and sister Rachel G. Federico.

Ruben graduated from Pueblo High School (a proud Warrior) and attended the University of Arizona (a proud Wildcat). He began his professional career in the banking industry with Valley National Bank and reached great milestones as a manager at various Tucson branch locations and as a commercial banker. He became a partner and owner of Nueva Construction Company, obtaining his civil engineering and commercial building contractor licenses.  Over the last 23 years, Ruben applied his knowledge, experience and unparalleled business acumen as a Sales Representative, serving the Mexican and South American marketplaces, for Sunwest Supply, Inc. His mentality was "Don't Ever Quit."  Ruben was a man of conviction who strongly believed he could do anything he set his mind to (and he did). In addition to being a wonderful husband, father, brother and friend to everyone he knew, he was a man of love, determination and commitment.

Ruben and Cecilia traveled the world with friends and family to many destinations, including Puerto Rico, South America, Europe, and his all-time favorite vacation spot Cancun, Mexico. His life was complete through his passion for sports, but especially golf, as a lifelong member of the Tucson Ballbusters Golf Club.

God did some amazing work and the world was blessed to have him!
