Obituary

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the unexpected and peaceful passing of Rosemary SC. Oviedo, a treasured wife, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, aunt and friend whose grace touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Born on December 13, 1942, a graduate of Pueblo High School, Rosemary, affectionately known to us as "Mom," was the beloved daughter of Ramon and Adelina Ariza Santa Cruz. Throughout her existence, she radiated a vibrant love and luminosity, like a brilliant diamond, touching the hearts of everyone she met. With tireless devotion, she dedicated herself to her family, her career, and her passions.

Rosemary leaves behind her devoted husband, Gilbert, her steadfast partner throughout life's journey. Her memory will be eternally cherished by her adoring children, Pammy, Gilbert Ray, and Adrian, the beacons of her life. As a true matriarch, she reveled in life's simple pleasures—whether it was crafting homemade dolls for her children in their youth, painting stones with tender care, assembling exquisite gift baskets, perfecting her culinary skills, or sharing tender moments with her beloved pup, Gidget, she poured her heart and soul into every endeavor.

After a fulfilling career as an accountant at the University of Arizona, Rosemary embraced retirement, fully immersing herself in the joys of being a grandmother. Her most precious times were those spent with her beloved grandchildren, Evan Leilani, Koa, and Kalei. She seized every moment to joyfully express her love, share wisdom, laughter, and kindness, enriching their lives immensely.

Rosemary's love knew no bounds, enveloping not just her family, but also her children, grandchildren, fur babies, and beyond with a warmth that surpassed the ordinary. She possessed a unique ability to make each individual feel valued and loved, leaving a lasting mark on the hearts of those lucky enough to know her.

Though she is no longer with us in the flesh, Rosemary's spirit will continue to illuminate our lives through the myriad memories and the profound love she bestowed upon us all.

Rest in peace, Mom. Your absence is profoundly felt, yet your love endures with us, eternal and unfading.
