IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Roselene M.
Vega
September 24, 1940 – March 3, 2019
Roselene Mercy Vega (Price), 78 of Tucson, Arizona passed away peacefully on March 3rd, 2019 with her family by her side. She was born September 24, 1940 in Tucson, Arizona. The eldest daughter of Marlin Thomas and Rosario Marie Price, she was raised among 5 siblings on a family ranch along the Santa Cruz River.
In 1958, Roselene met "Sammy", her high school sweetheart and the love of her life. They were named Mr. and Miss Personality of their senior class. A perfect match, it was clear they were destined to have a life of laughter and happiness together. They married in 1962 and proudly raised six children. Her favorite pastimes were traveling abroad, collecting unusual pieces and cooking for her family. She spent most of her working years in the resale business and formed a special bond with her customers.
Sam and Rose lived in St. Louis, Missouri; Tempe, Arizona and eventually made their way back to Tucson where they settled on a beautiful mountain side amongst the tranquil Arizona desert. She was the heart and soul of her family. Her crazy antics and spunky wit drew us all closer to her.
Preceded in death by her parents and brothers Thomas, Arturo and Marlin Price.
Roselene leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband Oscar Sam Vega, sister Marilyn (Melendez) and brother Billy (Price); her children Kathy Gonzales and husband Tony, Sam Vega and wife Evelyn, Danny Vega and wife Kelly, Darlene Jackson and husband Mark, Marlene McKenna and husband Mike and Ernie Vega and wife Cyndi; her grandchildren Danielle, Victoria, Taylor, Brittany, Anthony, Julian Christian, Jake, Miranda, Ethan, Gavin, Tia and Quinn; and great grandchildren Jared, Toby, Bentley and Leilani. She will be forever in our hearts.
Family and friends are invited to attend a special Mass at the San Xavier Mission, 1950 W. San Xavier Rd. on Sunday, March 24th at 8:00AM with refreshments to follow at the Melendez residence. A private memorial service to be announced.
