IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rosa Maria
Montaño
June 3, 1958 – December 21, 2025
Our beloved RosaMaria "Rosie" Montano, devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother went home to rest in peace with our heavenly father on Sunday, December 21, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.
Her greatest gifts and accomplishments were her family: daughters Regina (Sam), LuzEmelia, sons Gabriel (Eva), Fransisco; grandchildren Serina (Niko), Anacely (Steven), Amayrani, Emilia, and great-grandchild Jessie Renae.
Preceded in death by father Ysidro G. Montano, mother Patricia Montano Duran, stepfather Manuel Duran, brother Carlos Montano, brothers-in-law Raul Valdez and Ernie Bedoy and nephew Ysidro Montano.
Also survived by three sisters Mary, Maggie and Ceci, two brothers-in-law, uncles, aunts and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews who all loved her and miss her dearly.
Rosie held various jobs throughout her life. At times, she worked two jobs to provide for her family. What brought her much joy was providing childcare for young children to help those close to her. She loved cooking and made the best tamales and salsa as she then became known as the Tamale and salsa queen. She helped many with celebrations, weddings or funerals. Her contribution was providing all the food for the events. Rosie took great pride and joy in helping others. If she had a family member making a trip with a team or some other cause she was eager to get up early to make dozens of burritos for team players to eat on the road. When Rosie said she would help out she always came through. Her word was golden. She had a wonderful sense of humor that everyone enjoyed. She loved telling stories and making everyone laugh. We will truly miss her fun spirit and kind heart and loud voice.
Rosie fought a long hard battle with kidney disease. Her strength and endurance throughout this journey was admirable. Even during this time, she didn't lose her sense of humor. She touched so many lives and will be missed by all.
Rosie was most proud of her family and she was so proud of the home healthcare provided by her own children who stayed by her side 24/7.
Her family truly appreciates and offers their thanks and gratitude to all extended family members who visited her and brought her favorite tamales, birria tacos, biscuchuelos and other goodies that she enjoyed. Rosie loved and appreciated the conversations and memories shared with her.
"He that believeth in me shall never die." God is the light and resurrection. Rest in peace our dear Rosie, our beautiful Rose.
