He was preceded in death by his wife, Reyes C. Ruiz, also his brothers and sisters. Survived by his sister, Oralia Calderon; his sons, Alfred (Jan) Torres, Roque (Clarissa ) Ruiz Jr; daughters, Suzy Ruiz, Becky Ruiz (Curtis); ten granddaughters, one grandson, two great-grandsons.
