ROBERTA "BERTIE" MAE ALLISON

November 1946 - April 2023

Bertie, as everyone knew her, was a beautiful, fearless, and feisty woman. The daughter of Newell W. and Maria Allison, she was born to love fully, live boldly and was loyal to a fault. She happily married twice and remained happier single for most of her life. She was a hardworking mother, dedicated, determined and generous. She expected the best out of this life and never settled for less. No one will ever forget her charm, wit, infectious laugh, and charisma.

There are many ways to cherish her memory & the family wishes you to honor her in this way: if you love horses, go riding or watch a derby, if you have a cigarette light one for her (just don't inhale), give a toast in her name by raising a glass of coke or if you're into cocktails enjoy a white Russian, adopt a dog and name it Bert (!), if you listen to music there is one favorite that epitomizes her and it is "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" but, if it's too much to handle just turn on the most ridiculously sad love songs ever written and sing them loud & proud, if movies are your thing watch anything with Taylor, Streisand, Cher, or Costner, if Broadway is your passion don't miss a performance of The Nutcracker or Phantom of the Opera, if you garden plant a bougainvillea or mint (those were the only ones she successfully kept alive), or just take a moment outside to feel the Tucson heat, look at the beautiful mountains & listen to the birds. That's where you'll find her spirit, feel her strength, hear her song and laughter.

Bertie's legacy lives on with her two daughters, Lisa Maria Estrella-Schmidt (Scott), Nicole Marie Trombetta-Badger (Charles Hoffman). Her grandchildren, Stefen (Nikki), Ryan (Kaitlin), Dylan Austin Schmidt, Sabrina Victoria Schmidt, Dominick Ian Badger, Savannah Mae Badger, and Nathalia Hoffman. Her great-grandchildren, Carter, Aiden, and Rylin Schmidt. Her extended family, Linda Marie Estrella-Salcido, Gerald Salcido, Selina Salcido-Petersen (Jared), Gerald Jr., Vincent (Christina), Gabriel (Victorya) and Jude Salcido. Her beloved grand fur babies, Thomas Mason, Tyrion, Johnny Cash & Stitch.
