Obituary

Robert Anthony Sanchez was born on October 20, 1981, and passed away peacefully at the age of 42, on August 20, 2024, surrounded by his family and friends.

Robert was a beloved father to Patricia Pedrin-Sanchez (Arath Felix) and a cherished grandfather to Camila Felix. He was the son of Joanne Kingman (Jim Grisham) and Ruben Sanchez and a brother to Carissa Sanchez (Rigo Baldenegro), Brian Grisham, Kevin Grisham, and Ashley Grisham. His love extended to his nieces, Nevaeh Acevedo-Sanchez and Ariya Baldenegro.  He is survived by many family members: Sylvia Kingman (Nana K), Denise Kingman (Carlos Ruiz), Linda Borbon, and Ida Suarez (Aunts).  Ron Kingman, Daniel Marquez, Mike Kingman (Uncles). Many cherished cousins, Ray Borbon Jr., Felicia Borbon, Richard Borbon, Lexie Borbon, Nathan Kingman (deceased), Aaron Kingman, Alyssa Celaya, Steven A. Celaya, Mike Kingman Jr., Chris Kingman, Kimberly Mulholland, and Brandon Sanchez.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, John H. Kingman, Jr., and Paternal grandparents, John and Delma Sanchez.

Robert attended Pima Community College and earned a Culinary Arts certificate. He also worked as an auto mechanic assistant for many years. Recently, Robert worked as a technician with Prestige1 Trucking, where he enjoyed the camaraderie of his co-workers. He enjoyed watching sports, especially the Washington Commanders and the University of AZ Wildcats. He often called Nana K for input on the games and inside coaching tips.

Despite the many hurdles life threw at him, Robert's resilience was unwavering. He never gave up the fight. His love for gatherings with family and friends was a testament to his strength, as these connections made him stronger and provided opportunities for him to be the "life of the party." His keen sense of humor and quick wit, which provided many laughs, will never be forgotten; "Say Less"!

Robert will be remembered as a kind and gentle spirit who lived with unconditional love for God, family, and friends. He always put others before himself, and his selfless nature touched the lives of everyone around him. His time on this earth was cut short, but the impact he made will be felt forever.

Let us strive to embrace his legacy of love, kindness, and caring, ensuring that his spirit lives on in our actions and interactions with others.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to COPE Community Services, a local organization that supported Robert in many ways and guided him through difficult times. We are forever grateful.
