Robert "Bobby" Dominguez, 74, passed away to be with his beloved wife on March 30, 2023. Bobby was born to his mother Ramona Q. Rosas and his father Leo Dominguez and had 11 siblings. Bobby grew up in Barrio Hoyo and stayed close to downtown Tucson most of his childhood. He attended Carrillo Elementary, Safford Junior High, and Tucson High School class of 1968. He formed lifelong friendships at school, some lasting over 68 years. He met the love of his life in elementary school. Robert and Frances were married in 1972 sharing 46 wonderful, loving years together. He is survived by his children Jackie Parra, Gabriel (Alyson), Adrian (Samantha), and Renee Romero (Mario). In 1976 Robert became a miner at San Manuel Mines until it abruptly shut down in 1999. He would go on and retire from Sun Tran as a bus driver after 15 years. He was a Union man through and through. Robert knew everyone and their story. He treated everyone he met with dignity and respect. He was the life of the party; he loved listening to oldies and loved to dance. Robert loved to travel and read the newspaper. His smile was contagious. Nothing made him happier than becoming a grandpa to 9 grandchildren, Aaron, Avram, Jordan, Adrie, Rocco, Champ, Rikki, Ryan, and Rory.

He was the best grandpa and papa. We will fill the void with beautiful memories and cherish the time we got to spend with him. He will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 12, 2023, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a rosary at 7:00pm at Carrillo's Tucson Mortuary. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Santa Cruz Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. Flowers can be sent to Carrillo Tucson Mortuary.
