With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Robert Carrillo Delgado on March 8, 2026, at Banner University Medical Center, Tucson, Arizona.
Robert was born on July 9, 1951, in Silver City, New Mexico to Moises O Delgado and Patricia Gomez Carrillo. He grew up in Santa Rita NM and Silver City, NM. He attended elementary at St Mary’s Academy in Silver City, NM, High School at Silver High School. College at Western New Mexico University.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and son Robert Justin, Jr. (Bert) He is survived by his wife, children and grandchildren. Siblings Vangie Delgado Diaz, Rudy Delgado (Teresa), Michael Delgado (Elaine). Aunts and Uncles.
He went on to marry his soulmate and Love of his life Lena Elizabeth Carroll in Tucson, Az on April 28, 1972, and enjoyed 55 years of marriage. They grew their family with lovely Children and Grandchildren Robert Justin Delgado Jr., Ernest Anthony Delgado, Gina Delgado Kellogg (JB Kellogg), grandkids Kahlia, Taylor, Gabriella and Gunnar . He was blessed with an abundance of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, nephews and In-Laws.
He was a businessman at heart. From a very young age he worked with his dad from His own Snow Cone Truck to Delgado’s Floor Fashion’s from 1972 to 1999 and Delgado’s Propane from 1999 to 2014.
He left this world the same way he lived his life-working hard and giving his best until the very end. He was a man known for his tireless work ethic, remarkable precision and careful frugality. Those who knew him best will remember much more than his work. He had a sharp and often unexpected sense of humor and could lighten any room and a kind heart that quietly cared for the people around him. His love of fishing, cooking for others and carpentry was what he took delight in.
Though our hearts are broken, we are deeply grateful for the life he lived and the husband, father and grandfather he was to us. His legacy of hard work, humor, and kindness will continue to live on in our family and in all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply and forever remembered.
The Family would like to Thank the Amazing Doctors, Nurses and Medical staff at Banner University Medical Center who took excellent care of him.
