May 30, 1951 – October 6, 2024
Robert Coronado, 73 passed away peacefully on October 6th, 2024, at his home in Marana, AZ surrounded by his family. Robert was born on May 30th, 1951, he attended Marana High School then followed in his father's footsteps as a miner at San Manuel Copper Mine later becoming BHP Copper. Robert worked their until the mine closed and continued his mining career at Newmont Gold Mining Company in Elko NV. After retiring from mining, he worked for Cortaro Water Association in Marana.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents Mike Coronado and Juanita Sanders Linares, sisters Linda Coronado and Grace Garcia, and brother Mike Coronado. He is survived by his wife Adelina Sanchez, children, Robert (Cne), Linda and Raquel. Grandchildren, Veronica, Viviana, Mikael, Rene, Samantha and Zoe. Great Granddaughters Yazlin and Mia. He is also survived by his sister Sylvia Russell, several sister-in laws, brother-in-laws, and many nieces and nephews.
One of his most precious joys was picking up and dropping off his great granddaughters for school, always making the time to sneak in a McDonalds Ice Cream treat. You could also find him at the ballpark through the years watching his grandchildren's games. He enjoyed watching all sports, which included the Miami Dolphins, which was his favorite football team.
A memorial mass will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024, at Saint Christopher Catholic Parish located at 12101 W. Moore Rd, Marana, AZ 85653. Rosary will begin at 10:30 am followed by mass at 11:00 am.
A Celebration of life reception will follow the memorial mass services at the VFW Post 5990 located at 15850 W. El Tire Rd Marana AZ 85653.
The family would like to Thank Banner Cancer Center, Casa De La Luz Hospice, Carrillo Mortuary, and all of those who helped the family during this difficult time
