IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert Campas
Carranza
July 26, 1958 – November 26, 2022
Robert "Bob" Campas Carranza
July 26, 1958 - November 26, 2022
On Saturday, November 26, 2022, Robert was called to join his father in heaven.
A beloved son of (Alfonso-decd & Amelia Carranza), brother to (Olga Lozano, Patricia Napier & Alfonso Jr.), uncle to Cecilia Shreves (Mitchell, Lily, Emily), Dianna Lozano (John Tuttle), Gilbert Lozano (Kaylin), David Lozano, Jeffrey Napier, Jennifer Napier McMurray (Justin, Aleesia, Jaxson, Ezekiel, Conor), Danielle & Elena Carranza, Nathan Allen (Rosalinda, Rosa, Alanna, Briyanna, Nathan Jr.) his beloved sweetheart Lupe Romero, and his dogs Diesel-decd, Peaches- decd, Cheezy & Petey.
Robert proudly served our country as a Naval Aviator in the United States Navy. He earned his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arizona. After his career in the US Navy, he committed to continuing his outstanding service and contribution to the United States Government as a Fleet & Energy Manager for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and retired after thirty years of dedicated service to the United States Government.
He had a brilliant engineering mind that transformed and repurposed items for everyday use; he could "MacGyver" anything together. He would never shy away from demanding work and offered a helping hand at every corner. Putting forth his expertise and intellect to produce a quality result was his main objective. He had a desire to continue his education exploring fields of interest such as horticulture, aeronautical, and music. Robert had quick wit, and a loving heart. His green thumb kept his properties bountiful. Robert was extremely talented in playing various musical instruments. His passion was piano and guitar, horticulture, and science engineering. On his off days, you could find him playing the guitar or replenishing our Earth. He traveled the world during his service and brought his family to several duty stations to explore the new cities alongside him.
Robert valued living off the grid and on the land. Until the day of his passing, he traveled across city and state lines exploring our beautiful country; it is where he found the most peace.
He is deeply loved and will surely be missed by his family and friends. Robert wishes to be placed in a bench overlooking his father's resting place.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that you donate to causes that were close to Robert's heart such as the American Cancer Society or the Arbor Day Foundation.
