Ramona Sanchez, our beloved and cherished mother and grandmother finished her  journey of life on November 19, 2024 at the age of 91.

Ramona was preceded in life by her husband Fernando Sanchez and  her parents Franquelano Garcia and Romona Marano.

She is survived by her three children, Fernando/Lucille, Linda/Rudy, and Laura.  She was a grandmother to Fernando, Anthony, Jessica, Danny, Philip, Andres, Crystal, Rudy, and Matthew.  She was a great-grandmother to Anthony Jr, Cruz, Alma, Alynna, Melody, Maliyah, Zavier, Fabian, Julian, Angelo, Alex, and Jacob. She cared deeply for each and every one of them.

Ramona was born in Tucson, AZ on July 13, 1933.  Ramona was our matriarch and the heart of our home and family. She was known for her love of music, especially mariachi music. She loved to craft and tend her garden. Ramona worked at the Historical Pioneer Hotel as a manual elevator operator in downtown Tucson, she became a homemaker and devoted her life to raising her family and grandchildren. We will always remember her after-school bean burritos!  Her kindness and strength could be felt in many ways and she absolutely made everyone feel loved.

Our family would like to express our deepest thanks and appreciation for the wonderful care given to her by a special group of ladies, Yesenia, Anna, Delores, and a special thank you to the Bristol Hospice Team. Because of these ladies, Ramona was able to remain in her home during her last days.
