IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ramon Gonzales
Vigil
September 1, 1945 – September 16, 2024
September 1, 1945 – September 16, 2024
On September 16, 2024, our Lord called our Cowboy Ramon G. Vigil home. He was surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on September 1, 1945, to Leon Til and Emilia Vigil in San Juan, New Mexico. He grew up in New Mexico and met and married the love of his life Lillian of 49 years. They moved to Tucson, Az and began their family together.
Ramon worked in construction and later started his job at Hughes Aircraft which he retired after 40 years. Ramon loved fishing and camping with his wife Lillian and grandson Jessie. He loved riding and tending to his two horses Jimbo and Blue. Ramon took many trips back home to the Mimbres Valley in New Mexico for holidays to be with family and to go deer hunting with his brothers and friends. They also gathered for many nights of playing cards and reminiscing about their childhood adventures and drinking "Coors".
Ramon was a "True Cowboy" and will always be remembered that way by everyone who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Lillian and Son Ruben, and parents and brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his daughters Vivian (George) Samaniego and Yolanda Vigil of Tucson, AZ and son Henry Urena,
He leaves behind many Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren.
