Phillip Reyes
Figueroa
Jan 6, 1969 — Aug 19, 2026
Tucson
Phillip “Mijo” Reyes Figueroa, 57, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away on August 19, 2026.
Mijo was a man who loved his family and friends deeply. He was always ready for a random trip somewhere near water or good carne asada, a few drinks, and great music surrounded by the people he loved. He enjoyed spending time in the mountains, fishing, and taking in the beauty of a starry night.
Mijo was fun, outgoing, and lovable, with a big laugh that could light up a room. He always had a story to tell, and those who knew him will remember the laughter, conversations, memories, and moments shared with him.
He will forever and always be at the white mountains fishing in our hearts.
He is survived by his children: Christopher Villanueva, Victor Noel, Graciella Figueroa, Maricella Acuna-Figueroa, Samantha Figueroa, Mark Tena, DiAjunae Figueroa. Grandchildren: Christopher Rey Villanueva, Carlos Rex Villanueva Persaeus Grace Figueroa, Persephone Love Valenzuela, Peredith Beauty Valenzuela, Peregrine Manuela Hope Figueroa, Penelope’ R. Acuña-Figueroa, Sebastian V. Acuña Figueroa, Phelicity R. Acuña Figueroa, Phlorentina R. Acuña Figueroa, Evelyn Selene Plaza, Seleste Mariposa Quintero, Lorenzo Antonio Quintero, Marvin plaza, Adamari Luna Jones, Adiel Luciano Jones, Alexzander Louie Jones, Naviah Kiara Tena and Adrian Lorenzo Tena. Surviving siblings are Denise Martinez- Figueroa and Ron Figueroa. Family who will forever carry his love and memory in their hearts.
Mijo is now reunited in heaven with his mother, Nancy J. Figueroa his father, Phillip Figueroa and his brother, Greg Figueroa.
Mijo may no longer be sitting beside us, sharing a laugh, telling one of his stories, or looking up at the stars but his love will remain in every family gathering, every song that brings back a memory, every night spent beneath the stars, and every story told about him. His greatest legacy is the love he gave and the memories he left behind. Until we meet again, Dad/Mijo, may you rest peacefully among the stars. You will forever be loved, remembered, and missed.
