Pete L Alvarez's Obituary
Peter Alvarez has gone home to be with the Lord and received by his beloved wife Viola Alvarez and parents Loretta & Luis Alvarez, together with his fourteen siblings. He has left behind his five children, Jesusita Alvarez (Frank Clarkson), Mario Alvarez, Theresa (Juan) Mena, Anita (Federico) Colmenero, Felizcita Alvarez, Jessie Lopez, and Joey Lopez. Grandchildren: Lorenzo, Manuel (Isabel), Ariel, Brian (Lynette), Francisco (Neida), Miguel, and Jaylon. Great-grandchildren: Denaya, Manuel, Albert, Aaron, Yaracellie, Dominic, Noah, and Bella. Many Nieces, Nephews, and Godchildren. He was a proud member of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe and very influential in his Old Pascua Community. He was a Maestro in the Yaqui Culture of San Ignacio de Loyola, Temasti (Alter server) at Santa Rosa de Lima, guitarrero for the Matachin Society for many years, and other Yaqui communities including the Tohono O'odham Nation prayer groups. Also served as a member of Mariachi De Colores. Retired employee of the City of Tucson Transportation.
