Olga Carrasco Rivera 87,
A lifelong resident of Tucson, AZ, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 3, 2024.
Olga was lovingly known as "Chicki" to her family and friends.
Olga was born in Tucson, AZ on June 23, 1937 to Rafael Carrasco and Juanita Aros Encinas who preceded her in death.
Olga is also preceded in death by her siblings Robert Carrasco, Enrique Encinas, Dolores Encinas, and Margaret (Charlie) Gamez.
Olga was a lifelong provider and entrepreneur who always found a way to take care of her family. She owned multiple businesses at various times, including local boutiques and worked as a vendor at swap meets throughout the city, she also worked as a child development aid for Head Start Early Learning, as a cashier at El Grande Market, catered at the community fiestas, and so much more. Ultimately, Olga was able to retire after a 25 year career, as a social worker, with the State of Arizona Cooperative Extension Services. Even after her retirement she continued to selflessly and tirelessly help all of those who came to know her.
Olga is survived by her husband Sergio Rivera, her sisters Alice (Greg †) Gamez, and Enedina (Guillermo) Barrazza, her brothers Martin (Elaine) Encinas and Ernesto Encinas, her children Arturo (Rosa) Armendariz, Victoria (Matthew) Dunne, Henrietta (Ray) Noriega, Armando Lopez Jr., Georgina Lopez, Rebecca Pena, Patrick (Julie) Lopez, and Toni Lopez along with 2 Stepchildren. Olga also had 17 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren, and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren. In addition to a host of extended family and friends who will miss her immensely.
