IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Olga Denogean
Estrada
April 15, 1941 – June 25, 2025
Olga Denogean Estrada died peacefully on June 25, 2025, at Handmaker Jewish Services for Aging. In her final days, she was surrounded by her loved ones and wonderful volunteers from TMC Hospice.
She was a devoted daughter, wife and aunt, as well as a loving dog mom to a series of dogs all named TJ after her husband, Thomas.
Olga was born in Cananea, Sonora (Mexico), on April 15, 1941. When she was about 8-years-old, her parents – Jose Juvera Denogean and Emma Acuña Denogean - moved the family, which included her older brother, Jose Gilberto Denogean, to the United States. Olga learned English and eventually became a citizen.
A graduate of Pueblo High School, she would go on to work at the First National Bank of Arizona and rose to the rank of supervisor in the car loans department, where she was known for her exceptional client relations skills.
In 1961, she married Thomas Jesus Estrada and they shared more than six decades together before he died on May 3, 2023. They enjoyed dancing, dining out and visiting San Diego, Calif.
Following a serious fall at home that landed her in the hospital in late 2023, Olga's family moved her to Handmaker. She maintained a sense of humor about the situation and even made friends at the residence.
Olga was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brother. She is survived by cousins, nieces and nephews and other extended family.
