Nellie L. Valenzuela's Obituary

On June 21, 2020, Nellie L. Valenzuela, our beloved mother and matriarch, was called home to be with the Lord. There she will join our father, Armando E. Valenzuela. She was preceded in death by her parents Ernesto Leyva and Armida Giesler. As well as her faithful companion, her little dog, Prince.

She is survived by her eight children, Deacon Armando Valenzuela Jr. (Rosa Maria), Richard Valenzuela (Lupe), Fernando Valenzuela (Gina), Elida Rosado (Carlos), Clarissa Garcia (Rene), Eliza Alvarado (Bernabe), Ernesto Valenzuela (Delia), Alfredo Valenzuela (Lisa), twenty-seven grandchildren,sixty-two great-grandchildren, sisters Frances England, Rosa Armida Mendoza, Maria Wills, many nieces, nephews, and godchildren.

Mom was a family woman devoted to her faith; praying the rosary every day and hosted many velaciones for Our Lady of Guadalupe every December. Known to us and many others as a prayer warrior she never turned away a request to pray for those in need of one.

Mom's home was a place for gatherings, cafecito, delicious enchiladas gorditas, "consejos", prayers, songs, laughter, the occasional regañada, and her "teamwork" phrase.

A shoulder to lean on, an adopted mother/grandmother to so many, she was loved by all and will be extremely missed. Our earth angel is now watching and praying for us from heaven.

Due to Covid-19, we ask that all in attendance follow CDC guidelines to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
