IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Miguel Angel
Moreno
September 7, 1952 – August 5, 2023
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Miguel Angel Moreno on August 5th, 2023 at age 70. He was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to all the lives he touched.
He is survived by his spouse of 26 years Guadalupe Moreno, 3 loving daughters Hermina Hernandez and her husband Johnny Hernandez, Amanda Moreno, Adriana Moreno and Isaac Arellano. He is survived by his beautiful grandchildren Brianna Carrizoza, Ramon Lizarraga (deceased), Sergio Ortega, Miguel Garcia and Ava Arellano. He leaves behind great grandchildren, Tyler Chavez, Brooklyn Erazo, Gage Lizarraga, Mina Carrizoza, Adriana Ortega and Sergio Ortega III.
He was born in Nogales, Sonora on September 7th, 1952, to Jose Moreno Cazares and Maria del Carmen Moreno. He grew up in Quemado, NM along with his siblings, Jose Ernesto Moreno (deceased), Hector Moreno, Alfredo Moreno (deceased), Maria del Carmen Moreno Flores (deceased), Maria de la Luz Moreno Casillas, Rosa Maria Moreno Duarte (deceased), Martha Elena Moreno, Francisca Lourdes Moreno Vega (deceased), siblings gone before as children Herminia Moreno, Marcos Moreno and Ramiro Moreno.
During his time in school, he enjoyed playing basketball and loved running cross country, he was always very helpful around the ranch he and his family grew up on, loved to ride horses and help out with caring for cattle. He became skillful at his love for being outdoors and hunting. He would later help guide other young men in the family to do the same.
He later moved to Tucson where he started his family. He had a long career in construction where he specialized in chain link fences, he took lots of pride in his work and became an expert in his craft. He was always willing to be of service to others and the ones he loved. A true man's man, cowboy at heart, dedicated provider and mentor to his family.
He had a true devotion and unwavering love for his family, always sacrificial in his care, supportive in difficult times and present in times of celebrations. His acts of love were daily, subtle and heartfelt.
Although he faced challenges living with early stages of Dementia, his spirit remained witty, loving and lighthearted. We will forever cherish his playful spirit, his love for music and compassion for others.
There is no love like a father's love. May you be greeted with open arms by family who have patiently waited to see you again and be free to rest peacefully. We love you, Dad!
