Our brother passed away September 28th at the age of 68, with his devoted Fiance Cynthia by his side. He was preceded in death by our parents Amelia and David Burns; uncles Albert and Manuel; aunt Judy; and grandmother Manuela Manriquez to whom he was especially close. He fathered two children Selena Marie and Abel Michael. He was the oldest and only brother to four sisters; Vivian (Rocky), Roberta (David), Bridget (Gary) and Lorraine. He was uncle to five nieces and one nephew, many great nieces and nephews. He also enjoyed the time he spent with his Aunt Carol and multiple cousins. He was affectionately known as Paha to Cynthia's family and welcomed any time he spent with them.

Troubled as a young man, he later found purpose caring for our mother through her illness until her passing. He loved God and his faith and was thankful to all who took the time to pray for him. He is remembered as being a great cook and keeper of our Grandmother's recipes. His love for the 49'ers was unfaltering. He took great pride and interest in his family and all of our accomplishments. We ask for continued prayers on his behalf that he might know eternal peace in his final resting place.
