On December 3, 2023, Micaela passed away peacefully surrounded by her devoted family. She was born September 29, 1920 in Mammoth, Arizona.

Micaela was raised in Mexico. She spent her formative years in Culiacan, Sinaloa with her mother and father, Clemente and Elpidia Paez and her 13 siblings. Her years in Mexico were filled with beautiful and lasting memories. In the early forties she married Eduardo Palacios and moved to Tucson, Arizona to establish a loving family.

As the years passed, her family grew to include her children, Norma (deceased), Miguel (Julie) and Arnold (Sylvia); grandchildren, Miguel Jr., Corky, Marcus, Clarisa, Gabriel, Olivia, Marta, Danny and Richie. Nana Mica lovingly cared for and nurtured her great grandchildren, Ana (deceased), Manny, Joseph and Natalie. She enjoyed many great, great grandchildren.

We are appreciative of the warm care and companionship of Delfina Miranda in mom's final years. We are also very grateful for her caregivers Blanca, Dina and Adela. We also want to express our gratitude and appreciation to the staff of Peppi's House for their compassionate care of our mother at the completion of her journey.
