Merlinda Medrano 59, of Tucson, passed away peacefully at home with family March 13, 2023. Preceded in death by her parents, Wilma Barraza and Arthur Barraza. Survived by her husband of 41 years, Robert Medrano; children, Stephanie (Michael Paul) Martinez, Robert (Racine) Medrano Jr, Raquel (Anthony) Corella, and Andrea (Michael) Olguin; grandchildren, Lito, Anthony, Reyna, Jordan, Robert, Tommy, Johnny, Rihana, Roman and Mikey and many family and friends.

Merlinda was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed her morning coffee with her husband and watching their favorite tv shows together. She loved her time with her family, especially her grandchildren. The best part of her day was picking up her grandchildren from school, being their biggest cheerleader at football and basketball games, and just spending time with them. She was a huge Arizona Wildcats fan. She enjoyed watching every football and basketball game. Bear Down!

Although Merlinda battled cancer for the past few years, she never tried to let it get her down. She always walked into every doctor appointment with a smile on her face. She was very grateful for the doctors and nurses who helped her through her battle. She will be greatly missed by many family and friends.
