Maria Mercedes Pantaleon was suddenly called in to the kingdom of heaven by our lord and savior Jesus Christ on November 10th, 2023. Mercedes was a blessing to all of us, she carried many titles. She was a wife to her loving husband of 37 years. She was a great mother to her daughter and 2 sons. She was a wonderful grandmother who had two amazing grandchildren. She was a daughter, a sister, and aunt, overall, she was our best friend. We will all miss her profoundly.

She was an artist full of life and color. She made her paintings and pinatas the same way, full of color. She was a member of her community and participated in the annual Tucson Meet Yourself. She taught those who were willing to learn. Though she may have passed in this life she believed in the eternal life after death. She instilled her traditions and beliefs, and we will live the life she lived so we may see her again. Her traditions will be carried on and her memory will always remain.

We will always remember her smile and the way she laughed. We will remember her kind heart and how she made us feel. She will be forever missed.
