Mary Louise
McKenna
July 28, 1941 – May 20, 2026
Mary Louise McKenna, age 84, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on July 28, 1941, in Tucson, Arizona, Mary lived a life rooted in faith, love, strength, and devotion to her family. She was a woman whose warmth, laughter, and generosity touched everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Maria Louisa Bonillas; her father, Antonio Bonillas; her brother, Antonio Bonillas Jr.; her sister, Gloria Roman; her son, Hector McKenna; and her grandsons, Johnathan and Pauly Jr.
Mary was a devoted Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister, Tia, Cousin, and Friend. Above all else, her greatest joy in life was her family. She dedicated her life to caring for and supporting those she loved, always putting others before herself.
She will be remembered for her strong Catholic faith, her strength, her beautiful smile, and her courage. Whether through her words of encouragement, home-cooked meals, unwavering support, or infectious laughter, she had a way of making people feel loved, welcomed, and valued.
Mary spent much of her career as a machinist at Hughes Aircraft Company, where she eventually retired. She also attended Pima Community College, where she pursued her lifelong passion for nursing. A woman of deep faith, Mary found a spiritual home at Holy Trinity Church, where she faithfully attended Women's Bible Study each week and developed many cherished friendships.
She leaves behind her loving sons, Patrick, Mark, Paul, Samuel, John, and Alexander; daughters-in-law Dayse, Letty, Laurie, Michelle, Dirajet, Irma and Amanda; her brother and sisters Norma, Dolores, Carmen, Marie, and Bobby; 26 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Mary's family is deeply grateful for the love and care shown throughout her battle with Alzheimer's, especially by Micaela McKenna and Zinia Arrizon-Heredia, whose compassion and devotion helped provide comfort, dignity, and peace during her final years.
Mary's legacy lives on through her sons and the family she loved so dearly the countless lives she touched, and the faith, strength, and love she shared throughout her life.
She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
