IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary Olga
Gonzalez
February 21, 1956 – September 13, 2022
Mary Olga Gonzalez was born February 21 st , 19 56, and her spirit peacefully flew into her mother's loving arms on September 13 th , 2022.
Our mother was so full of life and loved listening to her favorite music during night drives. She was a strong-willed person who faced any adversity head on with her no-nonsense attitude. She had a wild sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. Our mother loved her family and friends so fiercely in her own unapologetic and special way. She had a one-of-a-kind, lively personality that no one could ever forget. Though she was resilient, she was also very caring. One of her most treasured moments was of when she took the place of her beloved mother as primary care giver for her younger brother Adam, (with whom she shared a birthday) in his last years of life. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, mother, and Granny who tirelessly gave her all to her family. We are proud to say, our mother also dedicated her life to caring for innumerous people in the Tucson community as a patient care technician at St. Mary's Hospital for 38 years.
Mary Olga Gonzalez was predeceased by her beloved parents, William Y. and Olga E. Howard as well as her brother Adam E. Howard. She is survived by her brothers William, Bobby (Rosaura), David (Luz Elena), Rudy, Michael (Dora), Israel (Valerie) Howard; sister Maryann (James) Martinez; her son Armando Gonzalez; daughters Rebecca (Jose) Gonzalez and Helen (Hector) Encinas; her precious grandchildren Vivianna, Gabriela, Maribel, and Armando Donatello; her Goddaughter and namesake, Olga H. (Daniel) Peralta; many nieces and nephews; countless friends and work family.
It was an honor to love and be there for our mother as she was for us. We thank all who gave their time to care for and comfort her during her final days. Although we know she is now resting in eternal peace, we will always miss our mother's dimpled, mischievous smile. We will never be able to fill the immense space in our lives left behind by her but will carry the echoes of her laughter and love in our hearts forever.
