Martin Green will be missed by his family, friends, the Tucson Fire Department, and the City of South Tucson. He graduated from Pueblo High School in 1982. Martin was selected into the Tucson Fire Department October of 1990 and rose to the rank of Captain. On June 09, 2001 he married his best friend, Anel Castro.

Martin dedicated 26 years of service to the citizens of Tucson; he was also the Tucson Fire Department's bilingual Public Information Officer. Along with his public service dedication with the Tucson Fire Department, he also worked as a judge with Pima County Pro Tem where he understood the law, his role and people. He was known as an advocate for the residents within the City of South Tucson.

Martin's true joy was time with his family, a devoted husband and father. His heart and breath was for his beloved wife Anel. He enjoyed being with his precious son Nicholas at school, on the basketball courts and baseball fields. Natalia is the apple of his eye, and he spent much time watching her perform in Mariachi, dance, volleyball, and joining her on school field trips. He was very proud of his eldest son David, for being a well-rounded, successful and humble young man. Seen by all as an exceptional man and exemplified what a true father should be.

The community has lost not only a friend but a HERO with an amazing soul. Martin is seen as a man of honor, true to his word, highly respected and admired, and looked up to with high regards. He touched the lives of many people and the outpouring of support for his family is greatly appreciated.
