IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Martha Blanche
Krzyzanowski
July 27, 1935 – January 12, 2024
Martha Blanche Krzyzanowski, born July 27,1935 to Elmer and Juanita Coursey died on January 12, 2024, near her Tucson home of over 50 years. She arrived in Tucson as a teenager from Grapevine, TX. Martha, (aka 'Shorty') married David John Krzyzanowski Sr., her high school sweetheart from Tucson High, at the downtown courthouse in 1958. Soon thereafter, Dave and Shorty moved into their newly built home on the northwest side of Tucson to start their family. She and her husband enjoyed many years there raising their children and hosting countless gatherings with friends and family. David Sr. and Martha were married for 64 years, until David Sr.'s passing on August 11, 2021.
A devoted stay at home mother and active member of the Saguaro Women's Club, she dedicated her spare time as a lead buyer for The West and remained committed as a volunteer for over 20 years. A big fan of the Dallas Cowboys and all sports related to the University of Arizona, she was sure to never miss a game. Martha later retired with her husband to their home in Show Low, AZ where they enjoyed several years of solitude and rest.
Mother, grandmother, friend, daughter and wife. Our dear Martha is much more than the sum of her many gifts. She is light and continues to shine through her six grandchildren. Emili models her instinct to nurture and protect. Helene bestows her intuition and sweet humor. Scarlet elicits her curiosity and enthusiasm. Bohdan carries her kind heart and patience. Callahan is marked with her determination and courage. Ivy glows with her gentle spirit and quietude.
Martha Blanche Krzyzanowski shall forever be a beacon of grace to many. Her power and essence continue to blossom and radiate as an infinite light of life's celebration and love. Martha planted her gifts in her children, grandchildren and others. Her garden now grows unendingly and as brightly and as beautifully as Martha herself.
Martha is survived by her daughter, Michelle; 2 sons, David Jr and Michael; 2 daughters-in-law, Jennifer and Bethany; and 6 grandchildren; Emili, Helene, Scarlet, Bohdan, Callahan, and Ivy.
Donations will be made to several local charities and gardens on Martha's behalf.
