MariaElena Gallegos, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, passed away surrounded by the love of her family July 2nd 2026 after courageously fighting breast cancer for the past year.

Born on September 27, 1955, MariaElena was a woman whose generosity, warmth, and loving spirit touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. She was married to her devoted husband, Abel Gallegos Sr. for 35 years, and was the proud, loving mother of Abel Gallegos Jr. and Itzel Elena Gallegos. She is survived by her sister, Esther Molina (Frankie), and her brother, Danny Villescas (Bertha). Her family was her greatest joy, and she always cherished their love and support.

She is preceded in death by her beloved twin babies, Lucas and Lucero; her mother, Romelia Caraveo; her father, Ramon Caraveo; and her brother, Guadalupe Villescas.

She will be remembered as one of the most generous and loving people her family could have asked for. MariaElena had a fun-loving, outgoing personality and a beautiful way of making people always feel welcome. She loved spending time with those she loved, cooking wonderful meals, and creating memories around the table with family and friends.

She also loved to travel and experience life. Last year she took her very first cruise, which quickly became one of her favorite experiences; she often spoke of how she couldn’t wait for the next one.

MariaElena strength, courage, kindness, and love will remain in the hearts of her husband, children, family, and all who knew her. Though she will be deeply missed, her beautiful spirit and the memories she created will live on forever.
