IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Maria
Strasser-Brady
September 3, 1933 – May 17, 2024
Strasser-Brady, Maria, age 90, of Bellbrook, passed away Friday, May 17, 2024, at St. Leonard Senior Living in Centerville.
Maria graduated with a master's degree from Wright State University. For over 40 years she had private practice as a mental health therapist. She was very proud of the career and her passion for her work was shown by how large her client list was. She had a special connection with her clients and loved working with them.
She was an active member in the Interaction Singles Club and was a writer in the Singles Source Newsletter, where she had a column called "Ask Maria". She liked staying active, regularly working out at the Kettering Rec Center, and even running several marathons. She loved to dance and be the life of the party. She was not your typical senior citizen. She was very outgoing, high energy, and quite a character. Her unique personality drew people to her, and she had lots of friends. When she needed extra care, her daughter, Cindy, became her caregiver for the last seven years. In addition, she adored working in her yard and flower gardening. Among many things, she will be remembered for her loving and caring spirit that she shared with everyone around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Rosa Strasser; one brother Franz; and three sisters Rosi (Achim), Hanni (Rudi) and Liesi (Martin). She is survived by one son, Mark Brady-Knight (Grace); two daughters, Cindy Strasser and Loretta Brady-Kramer (Robert); four grandchildren, Heather, Cory, Dustin, and Shannon; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Martin (Irene) Strasser; two sisters, Hildi (Rudi) and Resi (Georg); and one very close friend, Jeff Beam.
Maria will be buried next to her beloved son-in-law, Michael Kramer, in Holy Hope Cemetery in Tucson, AZ. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
