Maria Elena Ramirez Quiroz, 92, of Tucson, AZ, passed away peacefully at home with her family.  She is survived by her children Sylvia Estrada, Veronica Garcia, and Ernesto Ortiz.  Her memory lives on with her many grandchildren, Leonard & Carlos Gonzalez,  Rene, Joshua, & Marielena Garcia, Stephen & Ava Ortiz, Danny Perez, Eric Hill, and great-grandchildren.  She loved to dance and sing; her favorite song was "Kiss, Once Kiss me Twice." She was an illicit storyteller and had a flair for theatrics.  She was a bright spark in this world and will be deeply missed by many.

Maria Elena was an independent force to be reckoned with and fiercely loyal to her family and friends.   It was a blessing to witness her 86-year friendship with her dear friend Delia Orci.  She loved fiercely and deeply, and we take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace.
