It is with great sadness that the family of Maria Christina Lopez, 72, affectionately known as Kiti, announce her unexpected passing from this earthly plane on Sunday January 12, 2025. A life-long resident of Tucson, Arizona, Kiti attended Tucson High School and graduated in 1972. She is survived by her twin brother, Al Lopez, her sister Elizabeth Soto, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces, great nephews, and her beloved cat, Leo. She is resting in peace with those who preceded her in death: father Alfonso E. Lopez (MIA Korean War), mother Christina DesJarin Lopez, and grandma Vicenta.

A prayer service will be held at Carillo's Tucson Mortuary, 204 S. Stone Ave., Tucson, AZ on Friday, January 31, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. with internment following at Holy Hope Cemetery. You may honor Kiti with flowers or, if you wish, you may pass forward a random act of kindness in her name. Kiti will be sorely missed by all who loved her.
