IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Maria Del
Carmen Rines
July 6, 1944 – May 10, 2024
Maria Del Carmen Ramirez Rines passed on May 10th, 2024, peacefully at home in Tucson, Arizona. She was born in Mexico on July 6th, 1944, to her parents Angel Ramos and Maria Rameriz.
Carmen was the beloved wife to Gordon E. Rines who passed on December 9th, 2010. Carmen and Gordon were married in the mid 70's and had many happy years together. When you visited, Carmen liked to cook and feed you with the wonderful meals she made. Carmen and her sister Flory Rogers who also lived in Tucson made tamales every year and shared them with family.
Carmen in the early years liked to garden, she had huge trailing plants hanging in front of the windows. They had a rescued small bird that loved to live in the plants. They used to talk to him in English and Spanish and he would fly singing, chirping, and land on them. The little bird brought much joy to all. Carmen also liked to do needlepoint; especially DeGrazia scenes which she hung around the house and gave as gifts. Carmen and Gordon were very active at their church and liked to help when possible. Carmen also liked walking and would walk to the church when she could.
Carmen had a special devotion for Our Lady of Guadalupe, which Gordon came to share. They made a trip together in the mid 2000's to Santa Maria de Guadalupe Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe at the Hill of Tepeyac, Villa de Guadalupe, Mexico City, Mexico. They received many blessings there and came home glowing with many inspirational stories. You have given so much to your family Carmen, we will miss you so much. Rest in much deserved peace.
She was preceded in death by her parents Angel Ramos and Maria Ramirez, her sister Flory Rogers and Family. Surviving Nephew Tommy Rogers and family. Surviving Stepsons Gordon, Arthur, Karl, Gregory, Vincent Rines, and their families. Her Stepdaughter Bette Rines Kibble Gallagher and family. Stepson Michael Rines passed on January 2008.
