Maria Jesus Altamirano 94, a Resident of Tucson, joined her husband September 12, 2023. She was born in Bavispe Sonora, Mexico November 28, 1928.  Maria Jesus passed away peacefully at her home September 12 , 2023.

Maria Jesus is preceded in death by her husband Miguel M. Altamirano, her children Manuel, Gabi, and Ernesto. She is survived by her children Marina, Rámon, Rosa, Lulu, Mari, Miguel, Tachi, Gabriel, Neńe, and Vicki. She has 34 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren.

She was a hard-working mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a wonderful, wonderful cook. She made our family the best tamales, beans, tortillas, and carne con Chile. She was an amazing and beautiful person. She taught herself to sew and ride the city bus despite being only a Spanish speaker. She had a green thumb and could make anything grow. Anything. She always had time to take care of her family.

Beloved Maria Jesus, your family will miss you immensely, we know you and Tata are looking down on us all.
