We announce the passing and celebrate the life of our beloved mother and grandmother, Margarita "PeeWee" Cuestas. She was born on October 30, 1938 in Tucson, Arizona and passed away at the age of 85 on December 27, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Pete R. Cuestas; her mother, Anita B. Molina; grandchildren, Ernie Valenzuela Jr. and Margaret Garcia; Son-in-law, Ernie Valenzuela Sr. and siblings. She is survived by her children, Terry Valenzuela, Debbie (Adrian) Villafaña, Dorothy (Rupert) Pacheco, and Pete Cuestas Jr., as well as grandchildren, Stephanie (Jason) Richardson, Angelica (Gonzalo) Estrada, Erik (Denise) Cuestas, Jennifer Valenzuela, George (Lluvia) Gonzalez, Edward Valenzuela, John Garcia, Danielle Cuestas, Adriana (Jesus) Ballesteros; 30 great-grandchildren, 4 great great-grandchildren and siblings.

PeeWee placed a great importance on faith and prayed the rosary three times a day between a good novela. She enjoyed spending time at the casino and didn't hesitate to share her frequent winnings. She thrived around people and could easily put a smile on your face. If she couldn't pronounce or remember your name, she would give you a new one. She had a green thumb and shared her knowledge of plants with those interested. She opened her home to anyone in need and she could make a little go a long way. A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered.

Please join us as we honor the life of PeeWee with Memorial Services on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 beginning with a viewing and rosary at 8 a.m. at Carrillo's Tucson Mortuary followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She will be laid to rest at South Lawn Cemetery.

The family wishes to extend our deepest gratitude for the prayers and support given to us in our time of mourning. We will always carry her memory in our hearts and her prayers will forever protect us.
