Lucia O. Duran, 89, died peacefully in her sleep on March 18, 2021, in Tucson, Arizona.

Lucia was born on October 20, 1931, in Superior, AZ to Ignacio Ochoa Seym and Delfina Lopez Bon (deceased). At around 2 years old, her family moved back to Banamichi, Sonora, Mexico. She returned to the United States in 1960-61, with her husband and two young sons, they settled in Tucson, Arizona. She worked at La Suprema Tortilla Factory for 15 years then at Elks Long-term Care Unit for 12 years. She retired at the age of 56. She was resilient, loving, supportive and hard-working.

Lucia is survived by her sons, Dr. Jose I. Duran (Carmen) and Jesus O. Duran and his wife, Rosita; her grandchildren, Esmeralda (Sheila Baptiste) Duran, Jesus Duran Jr., Joseluis Duran, Di'Anna X. Duran and Marco A. Duran; great-granddaughter Olivia R. Duran-Baptiste. She was a surrogate Nana to many others.

Lucia nacio el 20 de Octubre 1931 en Superior, Arizona al Sr. Ignacio Ochoa Seym y la Sra. Delfina Lopez Bon (difuntos). A los 2 años regresaron a Banamichi, Sonora, Mexico. Lucia es sobrevivida por Dr. Jose I. Duran (Carmen) y Jesus Duran e esposa, Rosita; nietos, Esmeralda (Sheila Baptiste) Duran, Jesus Duran, Jr., Joseluis Duran, Di'Anna X. Duran y Marco A. Duran; bisnieta, Olivia R. Duran-Baptiste. Fue como una Nana para muchos mas.
