Lorenza Delfina Barreras Legarda Bencomo, also known as Lora, peacefully passed away on August 15, 2023, in Roseville, CA. She was born on April 7, 1934, in Chamberino, New Mexico. Lora was a beloved mother, and wife, survived by her daughter Norma Jean Romero and her son Randall L. Bencomo, her siblings Salvador Legarda, Cecilia Hauoli, and Ramona Giesbrecht. She was a cherished grandmother to eight grandchildren, a great-grandmother to six grandchildren, and great-great grandmother to two grandchildren.

Lora was preceded in death by her loving husband, Raul G. Bencomo, her son Raymond Bencomo, and daughter Nancy Lee Bencomo; her parents Leonor and Conrado Legarda, and siblings Rita Benavidez, Beatriz Pena, and Alfredo Legarda. Their memories will forever be held close by those who loved them.

Lora loved to dance, and sing, to watch her soaps/novelas, and touched the lives of many. She will be deeply missed and always remembered for her kindness, patience, and overall joy for life. She was a faithful member of Santa Monica Catholic Church, in Tucson, where she attended Mass and found solace in her faith. Her devotion to her religion brought her comfort and strength throughout her life.

Lora will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. May her soul find eternal peace and may her memory be a blessing to us all
