In Loving Memory
Of
Leticia Leova Jacobs
January 7, 1957 – August 10, 2025
Leticia Leova Jacobs lovingly known as "Lettie" passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on August 10, 2025, at the age of 68. Lettie was a descendant of the Tucson Pioneer Carrillo-Jacobs Family.
She is survived by her sisters Hermelinda, Isola "Shaggy" and Wera Jacobs. Her brother Daniel Lee (Charlotte), sister-in-law Gloria (Leo+) Jacobs; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins along with good friend Wanda VanNuck and family and many lifelong friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents Alfonso C. Jacobs Sr. and Eliza Yrineo Jacobs, brothers Alfonso N. "Ponchito" Jacobs Jr., Leopoldo "Polo" Jacobs and niece Dora Morales.
She graduated from Tucson High School and attended and played softball at Pima Community College. She worked at the mine in San Manuel for 10 years. She then started working at the flower shops. Lettie thrived in this environment. Her love for flowers and plants came naturally. She especially loved working with the floral designers, which remained lifelong friends.
Her love of softball led her to start playing at a very young age. Lettie played well into her adult years and eventually gravitated to coaching.
She was an avid sports enthusiast. Lettie's favorite teams were the Arizona Wildcats and the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Lettie will be remembered for her kindness, resilience, dedication, her sense of humor and her love for her family and friends. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.
Lettie will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her. May she rest in peace.
