Laureano was born and raised in Huásabas, Sonora, and lived most of his life in Tucson. He was predeceased by his wife, Martha, his parents, Maria Fimbres Rios and Jesus Meza Navarro, and his siblings, Bernardino, José Pedro, Maria Consuelo, and Jesús. He is survived by his children, Maricela, Rebecca, and Rene, as well as his two grandchildren, Samantha and Brandon.

Laureano was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. While those were his favorite titles, most knew him as a "storyteller." Whether it was about his querido Huásabas or his dear grandchildren, Laureano loved telling stories and making people laugh.

The services will take place on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Santa Cruz Catholic Church: Visitation at 9 a.m., Rosary at 9:30 a.m., and the Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. We welcome all who knew him to join us in honoring a man who made so many smile and will be greatly missed.
